Touch of Maine is Brett and Bri in Winslow, where the Sebasticook River meets the Kennebec. We wrote the software that draws every map, with help from AI tools, from real star, Moon and planet data. No stock art and no generated pictures.

Questions

Is this a framed print? No. You get digital files and print them yourself, at home, at a photo lab or with an online print service. Nothing ships.

What files do I get? Both styles as PDFs for 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, 12x18, A4 and A3, 300 dpi PNGs at 8x10, 11x14 and A4, and a phone wallpaper. The PDFs are vector, so 16x20 scales up to 24x30 and 12x18 to 24x36.

How fast is it? Usually about two minutes after checkout. Open our pickup page, enter your Etsy order number and the name on your order, and download your files. The link is also in the guide you download on Etsy.

What if I don't know the time? Leave it out and we use 10:00 PM, when the sky is dark in most of the world.

Which dates and places work? Any date from 1900 to 2050, anywhere on Earth, in any town of more than 1,000 people. Times are local to the place, with daylight saving time included.

Is the sky accurate? Yes. Star positions come from the Hipparcos catalog and the Moon and planets from NASA's JPL ephemeris, computed for your exact minute and place. We test it against skies anyone can check, like Polaris standing at your latitude and the Southern Cross over Sydney.

What if something is wrong on my map? Message us on Etsy. Every map includes one free revision.

Where should I print it? Northwoods is made for framing and looks best on matte paper from a photo lab or print shop. Ink is easy on a home printer. An 8x10 fits a standard 8x10 frame, or an 11x14 frame with a mat.

Can I keep the town off a star map? Yes. Write "do not print" after the town and we leave it off. The sky and the coordinates still use it.

What is in the party games? Twenty printable games with bingo cards and answer keys, in US Letter and A4, color and ink saver. The personalized sets carry your names on every page. The blank bundles download straight from Etsy.

Do you use AI? AI tools helped us write the software. The maps themselves are computed from real astronomical data and drawn by that software, never generated as pictures.
